Cork vs Waterford Munster Championship

Cork vs Waterford Munster Championship

Underdogs Waterford win their 3rd National Hurling League title in style while Tipperary U-21 footballers just fail to win All-Ireland Championship.
Waterford laid down a marker for the Munster Championship with an outstanding performance against Cork. With a team made up of mainly U-21 players they led from start to finish, taking complete control in the 2nd half. The had some outstanding scores, non better than 19 year old Austin Gleesons 1st half point when he caught a high ball, soloed up the side line and struck the Hurling Ball straight over the crossbar.
Tipperary U-21s just failed to create history when losing to Tyrone on Saturday evening by a single point, their fairytale run not quite coming through. The future of Football in Tipperary looks promising with players like these lads coming through.

The All Ireland Week Ahead 01.05.15

Great weekend ahead for the GAA with the All-Ireland u-21 football final and the National Hurling League final taking place. Who would have thought at the start of the championship that Tipperary would beat Cork and Dublin on their way to the All-Ireland final against Tyrone. It would be a fantastic achievement for a county generally associated with hurling to win a football final. Best of luck to them.
The Hurling League final is an all Munster affair with Cork and Waterford facing up against each other. If the two semi-finals are anything to go by, where both Cork and Waterford came from behind to win by a point, this final should be a great game.
